secracy

Do you think any of Diego's friends, apart from Felipe, would have been able to keep their mouths shut if he revealed his identity to them? Victoria seemed like to much of a chatterbox to me but do you think his father might have kept the secret? On the other hand do you think that if they did learn his secret they would have turned into obsessive worry-warts like the wives in the movies?

I know that the old Guy Williams Disney Zorro series from the 50's revealed that Deiego's father knew that he was Zorro for maybe 6 months to a year without Diego knowing that his father knew. Even though that was a different version of Zorro, I do think that this version's Zorro could have his father deal with his secret and protect him.

I think that the series would have eventually dealt with with the revelation. It ended so suddenly - reportedly, the company ran out of funds and had to stop production. Probably why so much fan fiction has been written - because a more satisfying ending was needed. Some really good fan fiction is available at the New World Zorro Fan Fiction site on Yahoo.com.

One of this series' strengths was that it developed relationships over time - and I do think both Alejandro and Victoria would have learned Zorro's identity in some fashion.

It would be interesting if the actual writers of the series would share how they had planned to resolve this most interesting and difficult of Zorro's dilemmas! Wish someone would interview them and find out their thoughts!

I would think so eventually, especially since Henry Darrow (Alejandro #2) played Zorro himself in the past! lol! Yes I definitely could see it, and it'd be cool!
