I grew up on Zorro!

Every time it was on, I would tune in to the family channel

I have the tapes but they are getting worn out and the DVD's would be Awesome!
I hope they come out with them.

A few things: Gertz owns the *character* of Zorro, but he does not own this show. I actually met with him this past summer and asked him the status of the show, and believe it or not, he actually has no idea who currently carries the rights to Zorro anymore due to the various buyouts (The Family Channel for example, one of the major funders, has been bought out by FOX and ABC in the past decade alone) and such that have occurred, as well as the fact that so many different international production companies took part in financing the series.

What I'm trying to say is, a petition isn't a bad idea, but John Gertz will openly admit to you that he can't do anything about it because he doesn't know where to look, and he doesn't own the rights to that particular incarnation anyway.

With that said, there is a potential lead: About 2-3 years ago a Canadian cable station called Lonestar, which specializes in westerns, aired the entire series, completely uncut and looking pretty dang fine, numerous times. I've contacted Global TV in Canada, which owns Lonestar, but have yet to receive a response. I'll post here if I do.
