Tell me I'm not crazy.. I vividly remember there being a movie, set in the 1990's where a grandfather tells the grandaughter the story of Zorro.. Found the cave and everything, and then the movie changed to how/why Don Diego became Zorro..
I saw it on the Family Channel in the early 1990's, and I honestly thought it was the pilot episode for this series.
I could be wrong.. it's been many years... but if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it!
You mixed up some episodes, but they exists. The one with the grandfather telling a story is from "The Devil´s Fortress" double. But that story is about Zorro trying to help Viktoria´s imprisoned father.
The episodes about how Diego became Zorro is a four-parter and is done with flashbacks after Zorro fell of Toronado and hit his head.
"Have fun storming the castle!"
each was shown in "movie" format on the family channel they just merged the 4 parts of the latter into a "movie" and the two parts of the former into a different "movie"
