Anyone confirm who owns this Zorro series?

I know that New World Television originally produced and thus owned the rights to this particular Zorro series but that company doesn't exist anymore. I did some looking online and found a Wikipedia article, if it's referencig the the same company it appears appears that News Corporation bought New World Communications in the late 90s.

News Corp. looks to be the owner/parent company of the 20th Century Fox, family of companies, so it seems to be that The New Adventures of Zorro is in their purview, possibly in Fox Television's ownership.

So should I/we be writing to Fox Home Entertaiment about getting season sets of the series?

thank you for the information. I think I will send a mail to News Corporations or to the 20th Century Fox in order to demand that they release the series. We should all do that and they may release the series !

I believe the copyright is owned by Zorro Productions, and the heirs of Johnston McCulley. They do have a website and are currently producing a telenovela in Spanish.

At last notice, they had no plans for releasing the series on DVD. A shame. Given the large fan following and excellent quality of this show, it is an amazement. They do have a place on their site for writing in and hopefully if many requests are placed, they will respond positively.

Zorro Productions Inc bought the rights to this series in January 2010. They have worked out a deal with A & E and will be releasing it on DVD in December 2010. No word yet if it will be a season by season release or a box set of all four seasons.

A & E might also rerun this series. No word yet as to when and where.
