Just got the whole series

Man...a rush of memories just came back. I've been watching this for the past couple of nights, this was like MY SHOW when I was 7, I'm 28 now. I'm amazed at how well it holds up. I think it's due to the fact the it borrows so much from the Disney series, so it's a very action oriented show with good writing, but is still able to be it's own thing. I hope more people check this out...Ok, pointless post I know but I had to show some love!

Glad to have this DVD set. Some nitpicks: It was obviously not restored at all. In fact, some of the episodes have an abbreviated opening like the repeat showings on The Family Channel. The first episode has the regular theme song instead of the original song sung by a man in the original airing. The Legend Begins is the abbreviated four episode version instead of the expanded, TV movie version. I distinctly remember the show sporting a Dolby Surround logo when it aired, but all the episodes sport only a stereo soundtrack. All in all, I'm glad to have the whole series in one package, but saddened by the rushed feel to it.

The pilot episode was very interesting. Instead of being a re-telling of the story of Don Diego, the series was originally imagined as a continuation. Don Diego passes the mantle of Zorro to a man named (ironically) Antonio. It had a different feel, and would have been an interesting series in its own right....

I wish the extras had some interviews with the cast. But, having this whole series is a nice treat in itself....

Just got the series set today. It's better than I remember:).

Some eps do appear a little short; not the best restoration;
BUT,
wonderful to have it back again.

Now if we can ever have the complete Family Channel series of Bordertown, I'll be a happy fellow!!!!
