How would you have had Vic learn Diego's secret?

I would have had Victoria learn the truth in the episode 'Wicked wicked Zorro', the hyponist sent Diego to woe Victoria as a test to see how deep the trance Diego was in. Diego does it and he literally charms Victoria so much that she was convinced that Zorro and Diego are the same, especially when Diego kisses her. From then on, Victoria pretends that she is still in the dark about Diego's secret until, I say that finally episode; Conspiracy of Blood that she finally reveals her knowledge then she and Diego are hooked at the end.

I would have had both Victoria, and Sgt. Mendoza follow Alcalde DeSoto to the De le Vega Hacienda, and have them all witness the duel between Diego and Risendo in The Discovery.

I find that that four-episode stretch would have made a great series finale.

Love that idea too but I don't think Mendoza could keep Zorro's secret, he has a kind heart but his mind is in another universe.
