Diana Trent + Dr. House

I am going out on a quest here.
Do any of you see the similarities between these two characters?
Each one with its own thing, of course.
I love the series, I see it as the british aesthetics (and let's not forget that Hugh Laurie is indeed British, as is the original concept for the show which can be found in the Sherlock Holmes series) pitted against the american ones.

Interesting comparison. Yes, I see similarities. Both are self-absorbed individualists who will go out-of-bounds to get what they want, others be damned. They both have vitriolic tongues. Both are "gimps," as House describes his condition, and have been known to use their canes for more than just leaning on.
The viewer has to take both on their own terms. And they're both usually right, when the credits start rolling.
