Mike and Bobby
Just started a Twin Peaks re-watch and soon reached the scene where Cooper is telling Truman and Lucy about his dream in the red room. When Cooper speaks of "Bob" and "Mike" Truman blurts out "Mike and Bobby!" and Cooper replies "Different Mike. Different Bob."
This got me thinking. Thinking as to what that was all about. Obviously the writers not only named the characters but also called attention to the fact that Bobby Briggs and Mike Nelson had the same names as the spirit beings. What was the purpose?
Off the top of my head I can only assume it's an allusion to the fact that the world of Twin Peak's will be full of dualities for us to explore and that was that -- nothing else to see here.
Or maybe an idea that was started but never finished.
Anyone else have a suggestion?
