Recall when Kubiack was going to fight the new bully in school? There was a cool literature (?) teacher that interrupted it and handled Larry a book with his favorite poem in it - something about a warrior returning home to his mother and "to watch the children play" - anyone got all the words for this? Been trying to piece it together for 15 odds years now.

The poetry teacher interrupts the fight and starts reading the poem:
"Fight not, oh warring brothers,
Turn away to live for the day,
When brave soldiers returned to their mothers,
Alive, unharmed, to watch the children play."
She then hands the book over to Kubiak and he continues:
"Remember the love, embrace the joy,
As your golden hair turns to gray.
Build bridges of friendship, rather than destroy them,
And always, always watch the children play."
It appears on the Minnesota gravestone of Timothy M. Belleveau (May 24, 1967 - Feb 20, 1991) and was supposedly written by him.
