What is the point of Victor saying this? Were we supposed to think he'd put Kylie the tortoise in the microwave or something?

It was just Richard's idea of a joke, but Margaret wasn't buying it.

Yes, I think he was just kidding her that he'd put Kylie the tortoise in the microwave thinking she was a pie.
