They didn't have to stay in the shed because of the bees

I lived in a very old mansion, that had been cut up into apts, in Laurel Canyon, LA, it had wall 4 feet thick and some bees discovered a hole on the outside of the wall right next to my door and created a hive. They would swarm every now and then but if I was just careful how I went in and out, I didn't bother them and they didn't bother me. Honeybees are not aggressive. I've even saved a few that fell into a birdbath by putting my hand in the water so the bee could crawl onto it. It would shake its wings to dry off and then fly away.

Now wasps are a different story!

This positively infantile preoccupation with bosoms!Terry-Thomas about US 1963.Hasnt changed much!
