And as we get older we realize how precious time is, and how none of it should be wasted,…….” yet someday, many people will be sitting around their homes and watching all this over and over on their DVD’s…..

Right episode but the wrong character.

In "Nothing's Perfect," after Maurice has his argument with Rolf regarding the clock's accuracy, he goes to the Brick. It is there that Holling imparts his rustic insight into the nature and value of time. Probably that is what inspired Maurice subsequently to implore Rolf not to take back the clock.
