I vaguely remember an episode of a show which I am almost positive aired on CBS. I don't know if it was on Northern exposure. Maybe someone on the board may know the answer if I'm thinking of another show.

Anyway, the plot of the episode from what I remember had to do with a kid playing basketball about to make the game wining shot from the free throw line. The entire episode dealt with what could happen if he either made the shot or missed the shot. I think his girlfriend breaking up with him was something he imagined would happen if he missed. For some reason that plot line stick with me over the years. If possible, I'd like to watch the episode again.

It's not Northern Exposure. Basketball only showed up once or twice.

I think the show you're looking for is Brooklyn Bridge, and the episode is "On the Line".

Oh I loved Brooklyn Bridge! I've been looking for that show on Youtube forever and nothing!
