Why hyacinth carried her purse everywhere? Even while jogging on the QE2?

Probably because she thought it'd make her look rich.

I think most women carry their purses with them wherever they go. (I use a backpack, not a purse, but even then I do tend to take it with me).

I had the same reaction when I saw her jogging with her purse on the QE2. That looked so typically silly, but so totally Hyacinth!
