What Season Should It Have Ended On?

It seems that the vast majority of B.H. 90210 fans think the series went too long. If you're in that camp, what season would you have ended it on?

Someone on here wrote it should have ended after they graduated college in Season 7, to which I generally agree with. When would you have wrapped up the series, or were you fine with it going 10 seasons?

reply

season 12.

after 2 more wayne moses based seasons.

7, although I'll usually watch through 8. The last two seasons are just too different for me to really enjoy.

reply

I would have tied it up after Brenda left.

reply

Completely agree, 8 I can live with but that is due to 9 and 10 being dumb dumb dumb. I would have stopped at season 7 with the grauation of college but the only thing I would have wanted to see was David and Donna getting married but I don't think that could have benn done if there were only 7 seasons.

reply

Season 7, even though it was in decline by then with stupid Tracy and Donna the Deer. But if it was the last season I might've not be as harsh on it as I am.

It also fits with them graduating college and being out of school permanently.

reply

It should've ended with the gang's college graduation, although the whole idea of everyone going to the same university was rather ludicrous to begin with. Still, S6 is a great season and I'm glad we have it.

reply

Season 7, but I'd have cut the # of episodes per season to 22 rather than 32-ish. That might have allowed the writers to craft betters stories and character development. And it'd have been nice to see the gang heading off in different directions for work, new love, grad school, etc., when they graduated.

I can live with season 8 too. The series should have ended after Brenda left. Or after they graduated from college in season 7. But I'm glad we got to see the gang graduate from college. Seasons 9 and 10 were the worst seasons ever.

reply

I think they should have ended it at season 7. Maybe they could have made the graduation just later in the season instead of the finale and then they could have spent the last few episodes wrapping up the directions the characters were taking in their adult lives. They could have ended it with Brandon moving away and closing up casa Walsh for the last time.

The series either needed to end with Brenda and Dylan being married
or ...Brandon selling the house

the Walshes were the series backbone. Shifting it took away the soul of the series.

reply

So true the series needed to end the way you said. The Walshes were def the backbone of the series.

some jimbo in hong kong eppys would have been cool.

Once Brandon left the show they should have just ended it. I watched the series till the very end but it wasn't the same.

reply

In a perfect world I'd have ended it after the fifth season with Shannen staying for the final year of her five year contract.

That would have stopped useless main cast replacements and ended on a high.
