I noticed during season 5 that everyone's heads seemed to be bigger. And I mean that literally. Maybe it was the cameras or their hair or the up-close shots, but Dylan's head looks enormous. So does Valerie's, Brandon's, and sometimes Kelly's.

Yeah I kind of noticed that too. To me, they all had big heads. A lot of actors and actresses have big heads if you think about it...People with large heads are usually more successful than their smaller headed counterparts. I know that sounds funny lol but it's true.
The thinner someone is, the bigger their head looks. I think that's why so many in the entertainment industry have +size noggins. Combine that with 90210 hair, and you got some gigantic heads!

I think it was a combination of everything you said. If you notice the first couple of seasons, the cameras were set farther back and more straight-on. Later it got more soap-opera like, with dramatic angles and closeups.
