I hate that they are shutting down these message boards. Know the reason is that people are using social media instead. But I am not on social media at all. Anyone know of any other good 90210 message boards? Thank you:)
Same here and to a lot of other IMDB friends I have been sharing comments with for such a long time. I Can't believe they are taking it away from us. So many of you I run into on various other boards and love that we share the same tastes. I really don't understand that they think these boards are negative enough to just delete them. Most of us in my experience have been friendly and decent to one another even if we don't always agree on things. A few bad apples had to ruin it for everyone?

Back atcha UncleJunior. Love the name btw! Much like yours, "Oldfriendofthechristies"(sorry if I messed up sp) are names that remind me of much loved tv shows/movies.
This has really come as a shock as I've been posting on these boards for 13 years now and never envisioned this ever happening. I cant stand social media so doubt Ill be talking about my fave shows and movies on it anytime soon.
Terrible decision.

I'm so bummed out, I've been coming on here for over 8 years. It's bittersweet, and the 90210 groups on fb aren't to bad. I believe I'm already in that group on fb.
It was suggested on another board that the Gabrielle Carteris's lawsuit about disclosing actors' DOB is behind the shut down, to prevent us from discussing their ages.
Probably not the case, but I'm going to blame her anyway.
But really, this came as a shock! I've been on IMDB since 1999 but I don't really use any other features but the message boards except the occasional rating of a movie. :/
their reasonings are completely asinine. completely. asinine.
ass. in. nine.
id think twitter has areas where we can talk about Kelly's baby talking or donna's perpetually dressing like a slutty five year old!
the main complaint they made was how it was no longer a 'fun' or positive place. well, they have some off topic areas that IMO don't belong here. what is the point of the soapbox or the politics board? I get the politics boar but that is where the biggest, nastiest mud gets thrown. why not just shut own the non-entertainment areas?

There's clearly more to this than just it not being "fun" or "positive".
The truth is that it costs money to have moderators that can handle the entire IMDB. They must have at least four or five who handles this full time, but IDK. Then there's also the fact that their software seems pretty outdated so I imagine it would cost a bit of money to upgrade it.
They've quite simply decided that the message boards aren't worth the money investment anymore.

I made a suggestion of 'giving a person [real name when they sign up] like 5 slots for accounts' just in case something happened and they were unable to use their first account. apparently that fell on deaf ears.
there are bullies on here who have more than 15 accounts. that is completely lifetime movie worthy! why not just limit everyone's ability to make accounts?
by this, we cut down on the bullying and the drivel spewing from an ahole with too much money and time and not enough brains. th
I have been waiting for them to have a spellcheck button since I got here 8 years ago!
