If the Movie was re-rated today,

would it still be PG or would it be PG-13 instead? reasons for each:

PG for Mild Language, Innuendo and Thematic Elements

PG-13 for Thematic Material, Sexual References and Some Language

reply

I don't remember any swearing or sexual references unless for that kiss and Fred Savage making sure the other dude knew who Hayley belonged to (lol).

reply

Pretty mild stuff. I think this would receive a PG.

reply

you forgot "HE TOUCHED MY BREAST!"

reply

That's nothing.

reply

That's everything.

reply

Except it's a lie. It would be an adult theme if it actually happened, but it didn't.

I wouldn't really call that kiss a sexual reference.

PG-13. Same with Goonies, Ghostbusters, Super Girl, Beetlejuice, and all the pre-1990s James Bond. The MPAA seems to be getting a little stingy since the turn of the century. I still maintain that Frozen and Wreck-It-Ralph should have been rated G.

Kids running away from home, hitchhiking with bikers, riding without seatbelts, gambling... PG-13, the MPAA seems to round up whenever in doubt.
