Was Christian Slater just doing this for some fast Coke money?

1989.
Christian Slater was in The Wizard, Heathers and Gleaming the Cube. Then he gets arrested for a DUI and assault that year as well. Busy year!
Two of the movies were gold, but "The Wizard"?
All I ask was; Was he doing it for Coke money?

To a degree yes but the truth is Bridges, Savage and Slater all owed the producers and the studio a favour which is why they did this movie the first place.

The funny thing is all three of them hated the movie while they were filming it and still do to this very day.

I love both this movie and Gleaming the Cube. Haven't seen Heathers yet, but given that I enjoyed these two so much, I probably should check that out too.

That sucks I thought Slater did a fine job in this and looked like he was enjoying it.

Granted Bridges did look rough during it.
