Okay, definitely not as big as Batman and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade were, but it was still a hit.
shareTechnically yes, since it grossed twice its budget. However, it opened on 5th place* and wasn't even among the 50 highest-grossing films of the year.
*One might say "It's not fair. It had to compete with CHRISTMAS VACATION, BACK TO THE FUTURE PART II and THE LITTLE MERMAID". To that I say "THE WAR OF THE ROSES (not for kids) grossed more that week".
