So, although I'm 42, I'd never seen Turner & Hooch. At home, doing paperwork, and the movie comes on HBO, so I decided to watch. I thought this was supposed to be a silly '80s-era Tom Hanks comedy with a dog as the co-star. No one warned me that the dog DIES! I'm bawling my eyes out! Damn you, Spottiswoode.

Yeah... A silly comedy where two people are murdered on screen right at the beginning of the movie.

How many 80s Tom Hanks movies do you actually remember? Most of them have a very dark undertone to them.
