How did they know his name was Ernie?
How did Turner and David know the kid's name was Ernie, you know the kid that they "hijacked" the car from.
shareThis thought occurred to me too, but I just figured it was because it was a small town and they knew everyone. I mean, the whole idea was that although there were a few cops, there was only detective on the whole force - Turner was training David to take his job. (For some reason, they made a point out of correcting people to call the detective position a "police investigator" instead.)
