Dogs do that when they're anxious. I used to have a German Shepard who would DESTROY things when she was left alone because she had mild separation anxiety. Which is pretty common in dogs.

Turner should known better than to leave a strong boisterous dog like Hooch anywhere in his home. I suspect that Hooch didn't destroy the bed because he fancied keeping that for himself.
