Tom Hanks was at his comedic best in this film. His conversations with Hooch are hilarious and still funny today.

Yes I agree. Im assuming Tom was just Ad-libbing in the car during the stake-out and I really enjoyed that scene

In this, Tom Hanks is the funniest that I have seen him so far. I especially liked him mimicking Hooch's floppy jowl movements while they were on the stakeout together.
