shareI love it!! Troop Beverly Hills is a movie I'm gonna show my kids. Phyllis, Velda, Annie, Rosa - such great characters and positive, good natured entertainment for children.

My absolute favorite guilty pleasure movie!!!!!!!!!!! The theme song ("Make it Big," by the Beach Boys) is a great song, but it is incredibly hard to find (I checked iTunes and Napster to no avail). So, if I wanna hear the song, I just turn on the DVD.
I always crack up when Phyllis is watching the exercise program, and she is grunting--but she's actually opening a jar!! Classic stuff!

I like when Phyllis fills out the troop leader form, and for age she puts: not applicable, and marital status: Shaky. So funny.
shareAll that I have to say is that my late best friend and I used to watch this movie over and over and over and over and over again, every day, after we taped it off the t.v. when HBO or Cinemax had a free preview weekend (the premium channels on cable used to do that back in the '80s and early '90s). My best friend and I must have been 9 years old. I probably haven't seen the movie since then and I am definitely on the prowl for it right now!
sharewatched it earlier today with my tough, cool-guy-type boyfriend. knew the movie was great when he cracked up at various parts. man o man this movie is funny despite the odd message of "poor little rich people with problems".
