What happened to Jabba the Hut?

Stallone says to Kurt "We'll have to pay Jabba the Hut a visit".Did that scene end up on the cutting room floor or was there no need for them to go see him because they got the tape from the little guy?

reply

Huh, that is actually a good question.

reply

Anyone else care to hazard a guess.

Tango goes to his house and while trying to escape jabba gets in his car which was rigged to, and does, blow up.

reply

No,that was the crooked FBI agent. The OP's referring to the guy in the car who gave the tape to ponytail. That was who Stallone called Jabba The Hut.

reply

Jabba the hut was electrified by Tango. This while Tango & Cash was breaking out from jail, on the roof, just before Tango jumps the roof there is a fight between Tango and Jabba that leads to Tango electrifying him to death.

Did no one watch this film properly? The OP is referring to the man that was in the car after Tango and Cash were arrested.Ponytail gives him the tape and says "Perret says use this tape here".In court when he's talking,Tango turns to Cash and say "We have to pay Jabba The Hut a visit".It was the same actor from Total Recall who tried to make Schwarzennegger take that tablet, and sweat dripped down his face.

I reckon there was no need for Tango and Cash to take revenge on him because they'd got the tape, and they probably thought he was just some guy who had no choice but to do what the mobsters told him to.

Jabba the Hut exploded after Cash stuffed a grenade down his pants... a live one this time. He kicks him down a flight of stairs and yells: "Gotcha, suckas!"

reply

No, yet again you're talking about completely the wrong person. The OP wasn't asking about the guy with the ponytail (Requin, played by Brion James), he was asking about the guy sitting in the car who Requin gives the tape to immediately after Tango and Cash are arrested. The same man reappears at the trial, giving evidence against the cops. Stallone says to Russell they'll have to pay him a visit later (because he's lying on the stand and clearly in league with the villains) but he never reappears after that.

The film was supposedly drastically recut late in post-production (by Stuart Baird, who has something of a habit of recutting Stallone movies before release), so I'm guessing if there ever was a scene where Tango and Cash got their revenge on Jabba, it was dropped then.

Pretty sure Jubba the Hut and Cash end up dating after Tango gives his blessing.

There's a deleted scene where both Cash and Tango meet the guy at a strip joint, threaten him somewhat, then are interrupted by some of Perets' assassins, who shoot up the place in a series of sparky explosions and naked breasts. Jabba is riddled with bullets. Tango and Cash dispose of assassins with huge guns, neck chops and an M60 machine gun hidden in Cash's mullet. They then have a monster truck chase around LA with the main theme on a loop for 20 mins. The whole thing frikken ROCKS.

It's implied that they'll go see him.
