I did it and Clairee was correct. It was very rich. I didn't care for it.

I did... About 20 years ago. Yuck! Too sweet and just not very nice.

I have and it is rich. It does help to serve it with Vanilla Ice Cream. Vanilla Bean to be exact :)

She didn't specify whether to use plain or self-rising flour. I hate it when this information is omitted from recipes.

These kinds of recipes are common down here in the South.

It's like a cobbler. It's very sweet and you should use self-rising flour.

I made it when I was a kid.....not to long after seeing this movie. It was very sweet. Twenty seven years have passed and I haven't made it again.
