I had very low expectations for this film, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's not a great movie, but it's reasonably well acted and it maintained my attention all the way through.
I didn't particularly care for the first "Silent Night, Deadly Night," but some of the sequels have been imaginative. This one deals with psychic power, and Part IV deals with the occult. Definitely a cut above the standard slasher fare. 6 stars out of 10.

It wasn't a bad movie overall. I absolutely love the first film. Part 2 was okay but it had a few too many flashbacks and the original footage seemed kind of silly. Fun, but silly. This was more serious and I enjoyed it more. My only real complaint is that other than a few images of Santa Claus and a few characters saying "Merry Christmas" here and there nothing about it really screamed "holiday spirit" to me. I thought it could've been a bit more "Christmasy" but other than that I liked it.
