I mean a normal family in a normal life ,and someday without any precursor,they suicided?Why?
I didn't get it,This film is not a believable one for me.
That they decide it together is quite unbelievable. But otherwise, a mother or a father alone deciding to end the lives of all family members, without any precursors, happens all of the time.

shareyeah the epilogue suggests it, but in haneke's interviews he had said that the story was based on a newspaper article he had read. and he didn't come up with the idea of flushing money down the toilet--the actually family DID it because the police found pieces of notes and such down in the toilet, ha.
