After the mother slaps the daughter for pretending to be blind, the mother sees a newspaper clipping then goes in and tells her daughter that she loves her. What did the newspaper clipping say? There was no translation.

it says: Blind - But no longer lonely (after a terrible accident anita can work out her pus with affection - now more than ever)

The poster was trying to be funny, of course. The correct translation is

"Blind - But no longer lonely
After a terrible accident Anita can count on her parents' affection - now more than ever."

Wow. Thanks. I was wondering why there was no translation of that while watching.

Now that I know what it means it makes the whole film that much more depressing.
