Felt like Albert Camus' The Stranger

Is it just me or did the pacing and monotony of this film remind you of The Stranger? How it started out dull and kind of boring, but at the very end it picked up and became horrifying in that sense? Also, after watching this, I think Haneke would do a great job if he did an adaption of The Stranger.

It's not just you. Who knows, Haneke might have been inspired by the novel. However, I don't think anyone could do a great job at adapting it. He'd probably do it better than Luchino Visconti did, but it really is the kind of novel that loses its power if adapted into screenplay.
