I would love to see an updated American version. The film is 20 years old and it's as meaningful today as it was then with movies with similar ideas such as Fight Club and American Beauty being as popular as they were.

I know for a fact Haneke himself has said he`d like to see an American remake of the seventh continent. He said "It would be good as a musical, with maybe a few jokes thrown in to lighten the mood a bit"
