Does anyone know what that bulge is on Kevin Spacey's cheek?

Spacey had some sort of boil or cyst on his cheek. It appears he had it surgically removed, as there is a small ident or hole on his cheek, where the boil or cyst once was.

His original name was Kevin Spacepea as he used to grow vegetation from another galaxy in his cheek.

actually I came here just to find this out. I thought Richard Pryor sucker punched him on the set.
