Is stellar in this movie. Very realistic reactions and his facial expressions just kill me! Like when he tells Diane he loves her and then he says "There, I said it" and sort of looks down with a sheepish smile. And when he's talking to the girls about having slept with Diane...awesome. :)

shareMillennial here and I had a crush on John Cusack when I saw this movie a few years ago. Actually, it started for me when I saw the Sure Thing too prior to this one on TVGuide. Hilarious movie. JC is great in everything. Pity we don't have a John Cusack type actor for my generation.

I'm 24, and Say Anything is the movie that made me a fan of John Cusack. Whenever I feel sad, I watch a Cusack film. Always makes me feel better!!! He's one of a kind.
shareConcur with all of this. I had already admired him as an actor before I ever saw Say Anything, and unsurprisingly I found his performance in said movie to be among his best ever. He’s just completely natural in every scene and I would say he makes the movie better overall.
Ione is lovely in her part as well.
