why didn't she want to live with her aunt?

It seems Jessica's Aunt Sarah is a real nice lady and her dad is a real bad father. Why would she want to stay with her dad with the way he treats her and they argue all the time? If I was her I would pick go live with her aunt. Maybe Jessica had a grudge against Aunt Sarah or something?

"real bad father??" Did you even watch the movie? And the ending? He isn't a bad father, he may have his tempers but he loves his family, he's constantly worried about each of them.

Yea, in the end he changed and was nice, I liked that the relationship between Jessica and her father improved, but, at the beginning of the movie omg, he was a jerk.

Because she is a child and didn't want to move away from the home she'd known all her life, her brother and her father. Her father wasn't bad, he was still mourning the death of his wife and raising two kids on his own. It isn't easy to be a single parent.

Because it's her home. Most little kids don't want to be uprooted from their homes, and they need continuity in order to aid their development.
