Not shot in Toronto

I was just wondering why the producers of the Police Academy movies decided use another location for the shooting of the academy grounds? I think that it spoiled some of the later movies for me, because I always remember the way the grounds looked in the first four movies. Then when Miami Beach came out, the academy buildings were totally different. Also, in City Under Siege, the other thing to ruin that movie was the beginning title sequence. We were all accustomed to the beginning of the movie playing its wonderful opening score showing the nighttime cityscape of downtown Toronto. They used the shots for the first five movies opening sequence, but in the sixth movie they decided to use a cityscape probably of Los Angeles with a morning sunrise. I just wanted to know why the movies decided to go away from filming their series in Toronto, and why the opening sequences had to change after the fifth. If anyone knows the answer to this, I'd like to know. Thanks...

You might have something there.

The bridge featured in the chase scene towards the end looks as it could well have been in Los Angeles. I've seen quite a few films made in and around L.A that show bridges very similar to the one in City Under Siege.

How come they decided to film most of the series in Toronto, in the first place? A lot of film-makers have opted to use certain parts of the city for location shoots. Is it something to do with the budget?

Oh please, all people are confused it. Police Academy follow film by location with look good and it's hard to explain to you but film can't keep same location forever and film always change different location, if you want film been same in location would make all fans become bored and sick of this.

Police Academy 7: Mission to Moscow ( I even not watch this movie "Police Academy 7: Mission to Moscow" and I'm not know where they did make this film location, maybe in Europe or Russia but I hope anyone will know where location and answer for this Police Academy 7: Mission to Moscow film location, I just know Police Adademy 1 to 6 location, that's all )

Wasn't some of Police academy 2: TFA shot in downtown Los Angeles?

I did check it out and I thinking you might right about Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment then I say ... Half in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Half in Los Angeles, California, USA because ... Traffic Tunnel .. was in Los Angeles and Toronto does not have Traffic Tunnel then I would say half and half. when I thought all make in Toronto but impossible! should be half in Los Angeles and half in Toronto like that

Yes, always talking about the governor to be involved in this or that and we don't have any governor in Canada.
