It was alright imo, not the best Phantom of the Opera film version I've ever seen but it was ok, it had it's moments though. The one part that really 'itches' me though is why he was so secure without his mask (when Erik never was) and he took up for one night with a prostitute. It's not something that any other version has put in, really different, some bits are true to the novel (I suppose) but it's more of a horror flick than a remake or a faithful rendition to a classic novel.
ANIMAL LOVERS UNITE
I found it...unique. Loved his face...it actually FRIGHTENED me. Not many faces do that. -Hack/Cough-NewPhantomMovie-Sneeze-
It is a little gross...and compared to the Julian Sands one, isn't much sexual scenes in it. But on blood/horror/gruesome level, yea, it had a lot.
It is worth seeing at least one. -shrugs- I got mine for about $7, so I don't feel bad, you could probably rent it someplace, then buy it if you like.
It sucked! Phantom of the opera from 1962 is almost a masterpiece, Lom rocks, Englund sucks!
shareThis is an AWSOME verison of POTO. In many ways is VERY close to the book, and in others it's just not. But if your open to new things, like Twisted romances, and just wanna see a great, different, and creative spin on the Phantom see this movie (and if yr not afraid of violence of course ;)
shareEr it was ok, i mean yes it had it's ups and it stuck with the novel some but it was gory and they made Erik more physco than he should have been. it was more a horror movie
Got Phantom?
