reply

Not for young children, you could watch it, but there are scenes of gore and extreem violence.

reply

There is a lot of violence in the movie and thereĀ“s a naked woman (prostitute) after the Phantom kills a group of bad guys on the street.

reply

I'd pick it up. The only nudity was when a prostitute rolls over in bed "the morning after" & you see a fairly quick shot of her breasts.
I saw this when it 1st came out in 89 (I was 11 at the time), & have been NUTS about it ever since. I've shown it to all of my friends & now they all have copies.

reply

THATS NOT THE PROSTITUTE!!! its christine

reply

Ummm, no, that is the prostitute in the bed - NOT Christine.

It IS the prostitute. He tells her, "Tonight, your name is Christine."

Before you try to correct someone be sure you're right.

It is the prostitute...however, on the dvd I was surprised by that scene...was that on the original tape? Oh well, might not have been observent. It does have gory scenes-I kind of zipped through some of that. It's not exactly per the book but I haven't found a film version or musical verison that is. Oh well. I actually found the movie confusing.

reply

im 14 too and so i know how you feel. it is really gory. i hated it alot do not watch it!

reply

Im 15 but when I saw this movie I was 14 and I acutally thought it was funny. I don't know why, but it was kind of pathetic. I liked it and I've seen it a couple times, but it wasn't that scary. I would just reccomend knowing some of the worst scenes before you see the movie, that way, it wont be too terrifing when something jumps out at you.

I don't think it would make you and your sister uncomfortable at any points. The only scene I can think of would be the prostitute scene, but there wasn't very bad nudity, from what I remember, just like her bare back and the outline of her breasts. I know what you mean though, it's the same with me and my sister or me and my mother, whenever something explicit comes on the screen, I always cough and leave, saying, "Uh, I have to go to the bathroom..." lol

Hope I helped

I've heard that there is a Sex prostitute scene or something but I haven't seen the movie.

There are worse films than this out there. It's on thriller max right now. Eastern..

Since my thread didn't work too well, I'll ask here. Is this a movie where a girl and another girl are at a rare and out of print shop, she finds a song, the other girl tells a creepy serial killer story about the writer, as the other girl walks away she stays behind and sings a little from the song and the words briefly turn to blood, she takes it to audition for something and a sandbag falls on her after she sang 'my heart is overflowing', and is transported back in time?

reply

Yup.
