Question about this movie

I remember seeing a scene of a "Phantom of the Opera" movie the other day, and I'm wondering if this movie is the one I saw.
The scene that I saw :
At a masked ball, some guests are taking some soup out of a huge bowl, and one of them fishes out a woman's head! This causes pandemonium, and during the confusion, Raoul sees Erik grabbing Christine and fleeing off with her, and he finds his friends and they set off to rescue Christine.
Arriving at his lair, Erik takes off his mask, revealing his true face(In my view, it looked like it was ruined by acid)!
Is that scene from this movie?

reply

Yes, This is the Phantom movie where this occurs. And the woman's head is that of Carlotta, whom Erik kills.

reply

yes that is this one. that scene dose not really happen in the book, but then again, none of the things in this movie really line up with the book. if you liked that part of the movie you should see the rest.

Interesting how the only versions that are accurate to the book point by point are the 1925 and 2004 versions, isn't it?

reply

The 2004 version does not represent the book at all. It represented gay.

The Verdict Is Vengeance. The Vendetta.

reply

Actually,I disagree.I thought the 2004 version was very good.Anyway,yeah.This version was probably one of the worst ever filmed.Few scenes have little to do with the book and if they did throw in a few scenes from the book they probably would have just ruined them.
