Question on Cool
Was that really Larry's kid to begin with? I'm shocked how the family didn't question and just took him in like nothing.... Or make any comments about the obvious...

shareDo you really think Larry would take responsibility for a kid that he didn't think was his? If Larry thought Cool was his son, that was enough for the family.
As for "the obvious", that is why no comments were made, it's obvious. What do you want the family to say?

Larry was always trifling from the get go.. So that always questioned me, if the kid was even his. For the obvious , Well from being in the 80's stuff like that was taboo. Still is but really taboo back then.Kevin Costner and Whitney was a big controversy back in 92.... I happen to find it amazing. I was just shocked.
shareDude it was the 80's not the 1960's. This wasn't Star Trek with the first interracial kiss. I don't remember questioning it then but watching the movie now I questioned right away if it was his kid. In this day and age of DNA testing we have learned to question it. Back then it wasn't questioned as much.
shareMy uncle arrived one day to a family function out of the blue with a baby. He said "this is my son". We accepted him without question. (Well, we did ask a question, "who is the mother?"). I was 18 at the time. My cousin is 15 years old now and we can't imagine him not being in our lives.
