Pad Lock on Gary's door

Was anyone surprised that the mom allowed that for so long. I can understand wanting to lock your door but a pad lock screams hiding something really bad. It looked like no one had cleaned that room for ages. I can't imagine any parents allowing that.

That would be the day my kid padlocks his door

I think for his age, she saw it as harmless.. like a kid putting a lock on his treehouse. I doubt she'd suspect him of conspiracy to assassinate the president.

Yes. I was 14 when this came out and I remember feel jealous of him being allowed to do that. lol I mean would have loved to have been allowed to have a pad lock on my door. What parent allows that?

It may not have been for very long. Maybe it was just since the *beep* dad moved out. You're right: That room did need a cleaning, but it wasn't like Hoarders.
