Was it ever announced that Helen was pregnant?

At the end Helen gives birth, so I guess she was pregnant for a while.

I don't remember a scene where Helen said she was pregnant. I know her teenage daughter was, but when did Helen found out she was pregnant?

No, it wasn't announced in the movie, so we could have the surprise at the end, wondering whose baby it was who had just been born.

The birth scene comes after the scene where Justin wrecks his sister's school play. In the birth announcement scene, we see that Susan and her husband are expecting, and Julie and Tod have their baby, so clearly some time has passed. Then it becomes clear when we see who had the baby: Helen has gotten married and they have had a baby. None of that was shown, but we can assume that Helen found out at some point that she was pregnant. 😄

Also, Gil and Karen had their baby. Remember, she said she was pregnant too. It was supposed to be a surprise reveal, that was the point.

No, this scene is supposed to take place maybe a year or so later. We only see a couple in the delivery room but we don't know who it is yet and after the baby is born the dad goes out to tell the rest of the family and we do not see the dad yet. We then start to see the family, starting with the Grandma and as it pans across, we can see who it isn't and it is nobody who was previously mentioned as pregnant (Julie and Karen) as the punchline. We see that Karen and Julie have already had their babies (pretty much newborns) and Susan is now pregnant, but it turns out that Helen married that bio teacher and they had a daughter together. It is supposed to be a surprise, that's the idea.
