I have the inside scoop from WWE Studios. They are releasing this on DVD (not Blu Ray) by the end of the year with a special screening in Texas.

Sorry bro, but WWE had the master prints and as far as I know, it's been lost for about 10 years. Unless WWE made a digital file of it before then, it's likely we ain't getting it until the film's either found, or New Line has a master... Which is possible.

I sure hope when this is released, they have the alternate cut that blurs the turnbuckles and "Superstars of Wrestling" banners. Plus, uses awkward crowd noises to cover anytime someone says "WWF".

I'm mildly surprised that WWE is putting this out now and having a special screening. I don't think Hogan is on good terms with the company at the moment since he opted to go to TNA wrestling. But at the same time the film is a bit of a cult classic so WWE probably figured they could make some money off a DVD release.
I bought the DVD for $9 at one of the stores I frequent.
What do you think this is, a signature? It's a way of life!
