I really enjoyed this movie and also Suburban Commando!

ZUES is an AWESOME villian.
Truly one of the great characters of Pro-wrestling.

If you read Hulk Hogan's autobio he mentions this movie
and what a risk it was for them to do it, and how ZUES
was awesome and many of the other wrestlers didn't want to
give Tiny Lister any respect in the ring when he went to the
WWF for a short while.
But Lister was suppose to be pretty good for a guy with
no training.

It's hard to find a good villian for someone with the
size and charisma of Hulk Hogan.

Look what happened in the Scorpion King, the villain was
not impressive at all against the ROCK.

John Milus commented in the making of Conan, he had to
bring in guys bigger than Ahnuld for the villain or else
it just wouldn't work.
This movie did a great job with that.

In his book, Hogan says that the film was beating Ghostbusters 2 at the box office at one point. Is this true or is it part of his dylusunal mind? (the mind that thinks he is still a great wrestler)

Seeing how GhostBusters 2 Opened at $29,472,894 on it's way to $112,494,738 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097428/business?ref_=tt_dt_bus

And No Holds Barred only grossed $16,093,651 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097987/business?ref_=tt_dt_bus

I am pretty sure that only happened in his mind, or he could mean that it made more than Ghostbusters 2 for the two weeks it was open before Ghostbusters 2 opened.

This movie defined my childhood. I remember seeing it in theaters...three times! I hope Criterion releases a DVD of this cinematic masterpiece.

I don't know what's worse, that 53% of Americans voted for B. Hussein Obama for President or that there are some people who actually like this movie. This movie was lame as hell. But then again, Hogan's popularity to begin with has always baffled me. Sure he's strong, but so are a lot of guys. Hogan is and always has been cheesy as hell, and his matches were ultra-predictable. And people actually thought this guy was exciting in the 80s and 90s? Give me a break. Cheesy and predictable yes, exciting no.

Wait a minute, does that mean that if I like pro-wrestling I must be a liberal? Times sure have changed!
