Inspiration for Conkers Bad Fur Day?

I don't know why, but when watching this, I felt it was rather similar to the game "Conkers Bad Fur Day," maybe a little more gross, but very similar. Does anyone else think that this movie might have been a little bit of inspiration for Conkers Bad Fur Day? The voices, the characters, humour/style.. etc.

Yeah Conker is like that rabbit character, similar voice. The fly reminds me of the Death character. And a few other bits and pieces (like the vietnam flashback).
