is this the kind of movie where...


the parents don't believe in the monsters that they are just the kid's imaginaton and when a parent is around they can't see them? Then how does Brian has to explain at the end that he end up in california? what was he suppose to tell them that there was an underworld under his bed? what kind of an excuse is that?

No, it isn't one of those movies. If an adult had been in the room with the lights off, they could have seen any of the monsters.

How does it make any difference is the parents had been able to see the monsters or not? They CAN see monsters, but they don't. And seeing them wouldn't really help explain how they got to Cali over night.

what was he suppose to tell them that there was an underworld under his bed? what kind of an excuse is that?


One that his parents most likely won't believe, but they'll have to give up because there is no rational explanation for it.
