How are we suppose to expect....

that Brian and the gang ran throughout the underworld looking for an exit to the real world before the sun rises and end up in california? Are we suppose to believe that the monster world is as big as the United States and it only takes minutes to cross one city to the next?

reply

Magic.

Can't stop the signal.

Did you even watch this movie or are you just stupid?

reply

what kind of question is that?

If I haven't watched the movie I wouldn't even be writing in this movie's message board asking this.

to answer your question; Yes, I seen the movie, what's your point in asking me?

reply

Because the answer is obvious and it also discusses it in the movie. Instead of just watching, try listening.

reply

yeah I see the obvious reason but that still doesn't answer my question to us viewers how are we suppose to believe that they ended up in california via the underworld. The movie ends and the credits roll when Brian was being asked by his parents over the phone how they ended up in California and he said "sorta of a long story" <cue end credis>

reply

The same reason you're supposed to believe you can go through the floor under your bed into an "underworld"!!! Magic!!! It even discusses that space has no meaning in the underworld.

The portals don't need to be exactly same distance away from each other in underworld that they are in ours, It's magic ffs or a "wormhole" if you will.

Hence why I asked if you had watched this movie or just stupid? Are you seriously saying that you wasn't sure if they expected you to think they had ran all that way??

This is a ridiculous question. End of.

reply

You apparently did not watch the movie.

They explain this the first time that Brian goes down to the monster realm. I'd repeat what the film said -- but no point educating ignorance.

reply

Dude its MAGIC. The world isn't the size damn size as the USA ...MAGIC. JESIS CHRIST DID YOU HSVEEANY IMAGINATION AT ALL.

reply

Because the monster world doesn't share a 1:1 ratio with the Earth with regards to distance. The monster world is MUCH smaller. Not sure why you instantly assumed it was equal size to the US. Further, I think it's amusing that you think the monsters only scare kids in the US.

I can't believe someone would ask such a moronic question in a serious tone when it's about monsters in a magic dimension. You get all kinds of people who take films a bit too serious in the way they anayze them at times.
