OK, in the subtitles and credits, the character is called DeJesus, but his friends pronounces it DeHaysus.
This question has kept me awake at night sometimes. Is Jesus pronounced differently if it have a "De" in front? Or can the name Jesus alone be pronounced "Haysus" as well in some occations/countries? They actually called him "Haze" once in the movie, so I just need to know
The Spanish name "Jesus" is pronounced "Hey-soos." So the name DeJesus, if Spanish, would be pronounced that way, yes.
