Check out the Siskel & Ebert & Roeper site. Roger Ebert says Thumb's Up and Siskel gives it a mixed Thumb's Down. Both seem to like Peter Weller and Amanda Pays in it and a lot of the underwater footage.
I read the Ebert review of this film. I liked this movie, i remember watching it on video. When i was eight years old. I would love to get the DVD. "Leviathan" sort of lived on to be a cult film. The cast are good in the film same as for convincing production designs and an imaginative creature design from Stan Winston studios. Now i am 26, i still enjoyed it and i am watching right now, in french unfortunely in a Sci-Fi channel in the province of Québec.
I hate to disagree with Roger but in this case I do. I would give this film two out of four stars. It dragged and got boring as it went along. I wished there were more creature sequences. The film was all set up and not enough pay off. The characters weren't that developed either.
