Not really, and neither did Deep Star Six. But The Abyss did for some reason.

I actually did find it to be a bit scary (& gross) when I was little.

Highly doubt it will nowadays, though

I did. I saw it in the theatre when I was barely 9 years old.

The eel mutant popping out of the cupboard was freaky
